Santa Clara County Voter's Guide On Children's Issues

City of Milpitas, Mayor

Voltaire Montemayor

I dreamed of a more "HAPPY and SAFE" Milpitas and the people as always and as has been the trademark of our place. The People, the City, the Businesses, the Environment, the focus and excellence in Education, the Safety and Happiness of Milpitas. WE will sing the STAR SPANGLED BANNER.

  1. What do you think are the top three issues affecting our children and families and how do you propose to address them?

    1) Financial hardships; 2) unstable relationship, and 3) physical and mental health. the family budget should be sufficient to cope up with the good living condition. the family income will sustain the need of the household like kids school allowances; the love and care is not felt or expressed- the adults are concentrating on their jobs and the kids are not guided constantly that they may not do well in school; some children and families don't have a balance diet that make them incapable to do well, there is a program to help the people with intellectual disabilities-PWID.

  2. How will the priorities you addressed in the first question be reflected in the way that you approach the budget process?

The living economy should be balanced and that people have stable jobs and good benefits, and the minimum wagers will cope up with the family budget. the family as a whole should be harmonious; help each other, happy together; no possibility for a broken family and avoiding kids going to the pilgrimage..my interpretations.. there should be a regular flow to set aside budget for family's physical health needs, there have been programs of the government to help the people with intellectual disabilities.

  3. What steps will you take to address the high cost and lack of availability of quality child care and preschool programs in our communities, especially for low-income children and English language learners?

for the child care, we need to improve or expand the capacity of the institutions that are already established. support measures for the retention of funds which is needed to improve the quality. preschool programs should be government subsidized funded. there should be enough spaces and places available and accessible. the low-income and English language learners should be given a good chance for they will be the future hope. Potential for future economic assets is also with them. A government aided program should always be there,

  4. What steps will you take to improve inclusion and outcomes for children with special needs or with disabilities?

thanks to the Disabled Olympics Organizations. Our nation should have a full support. Public and Private sponsors should be applauded. All the needed facilities should be provided. We need more care takers more trainers. Professional and expert touch and talents should be attained. A designed fitted facility should be available. The people with disabilities may be discovered to excel and are potential for income and revenue. The discovery of the hidden talent of everyone should always be done, however, there should be a considerably great precautions for the discovery.

  5. Much of the student achievement gap has been linked to the "opportunity gap" that low-income children and children of color experience, including lack of access to healthy food, preschool, tutors and enrichment activities. If elected, what steps will you take to address this issue?

I will make sure that no one is impaired in all aspirations. I urge everyone to make known of their needs. There should be a fair testing, fair usage of all facilities whether public or private places. There are government funds and grants available, there is tutoring and it should be maintained. the ever readiness of the city or government, and all related institutions to accommodate all in all walks of life for all achievements is to be imposed. It is automatically of no tolerance to "opportunity gap" in this way.
